COLOR - DESIGN - VALUE

In July, the guild meeting took us around the color wheel and gave us a hint as to why we like certain quilts more than others.

Sharon Beems, former CCCMS Art Teacher, went further and explained why some
- VIBRATE - and take our breath away.

Hue, value, intensity, primary, secondary, intermediate, tints, shades, brightness, dullness, neutral, analogous, complementary, split-complementary, monochromatic, triad, warm/cool...................Sharon made it all make sense and gave us a hand out to jog our memories for later.

You could tell that this was a topic that is on many quilters minds by the turn out we had.

Crayons were passed out and we all got a chance to learn what colors are mixed to come up with our favorites. We might not all have learned everything - but what an introduction to where you can take Frances' color wheel.
