Busy Sew Day!!!!!

It's only a rumor that some of the ladies came to Sew Day on an Ark.
Wasn't long and the rain quieted down and the Morganville runners were able to get out on the road  and everyone could get the tables set up.  The many hands made this job a snap.

Lorraine got two of her quilts back from the quilter (Susie) and took the opportunity to use the cutting table to square up her quilts.
See the PVC pipes that bring the table up higher?  They are always available ladies if you have a project you want to work on.

We had about a dozen ladies drop in, stay, visit, drop off Challenge quilts, work on several projects.  Can't show you all of them as some are "Orphan Block Challenges" having the finishing touches put on.

Several of the ladies, Trudy and Janet,  where cutting out the background for their wedding ring quilts.

They had these neat template rulers to help them cut out their backgrounds.  Think there are two more pieces not shown here.  Sure helped the ladies get everything cut.

See how neat it works.  Juanita had hers all cut out in no time.

After lunch we had Show 'n Tell.
Lorraine was given this fabric to make a baby quilt.  The lady that gave it to her - well her sister was going to make the quilt but died unexpectedly.  So this fabric meant quite a lot to the woman.

Lorraine paired it up with the lovely green flannel for the back ground and Susie quilted it with all these "wild" animals.  So snugly cute.

This quilt Lorraine has been working on for quite some time.  Finally got the top finished and off to be quilted and here it is back looking gorgeous.  Click on the picture and it will come in larger and you can see the lovely quilting that Susie did on it.

Janet H. was surprised that the chambray worked out so well in this quilt.  It was a kit that she picked up.  Everyone was willing to take it off her hands if she didn't 'really' like it.  hahaha

The violets in the border and on the back are perfect.

Most everyone there brought several projects to work on.  Cutting can get your arm aching after a bit, Juanita had a wool project to think about also.

Was a great day.  Thank you ladies for all the tips and techniques you shared.

See you at the meeting.
