Thanks to all for a GREAT Sew Day!

The cold did not stop the great turn out for our Sew Day on Saturday, Oct. 4th.
There were 16 members that were able to be with us.  Some for a short time - whether to shop Iowana's fabrics or to help place blocks, square up, iron, lay-out pieces, or to converse with friends - it was great seeing everyone.
Sara was working on Christmas presents that she had put together and Susie had quilted.  You go Sara!

Donna and Frances got the ladies divided into groups that either made blocks or sewed them together.
Those hands that you see on the bottom left are Hayley's - so glad she was able to join us.  Can you see those itsy-bitsy hexagons she was working with?  Wow!

Either Frances or Donna had brought a sheet so they were able to lay out all the blocks beforehand.

Susie had brought some hand work to do, but found herself a great help to Jane by laying pieces out, ready for Jane to sew.

Deb had gotten one of Iowana's patterns and was making her own block carrier out of fabric she got from Iowana.  A few finishing touches at home and we will be seeing the end result at guild very soon.

We even had ladies that were runners.  Taking units to the persons ironing or squaring up.

Our president did a wonderful job getting down and up - some of us were a little envious of her dexterity.

After lunch, things quieted down from the morning rush.  With Jane and Jeanette sewing up the blue and tan pieces, think there is enough now to make another quilt.  Great job to all.

Thank you everyone for coming and making our SEW DAY such wonderful fun!

Just a reminder that your guild challenge needs to be in to Jan J. = Oct. 10th - 16th.
