Colossial Christmas Party

What a wonderful night to have a Christmas Party - no snow, no rain, safe conditions for all.

Our Community Service Holiday donations were canned goods and cash funds to help the Light House.  Thank you Robert S. for delivering the canned goods and Thank you Jan J. for taking the monetary gifts to the right official.  A special thank you to everyone that made our giving possible this year.

Soups, soups, soups - so many to choose from.  The Board Members presented more than enough choices for all the party goers.  Something for everyone.

This picture was shot before all the desserts arrived, as you can well see though, we have some top chefs when it comes to goodies.

Frances B. led us all in prayer for a safe and blessed Christmas season and then the supper was on.

There were plenty of relishes, crackers and cheese to go with the soup.

Members and guests all seemed to have a wonderful time.  Please look through the pictures to see who all was able to be there and pay close attention to the table decorations.  The Board Members did an outstanding job decorating for the event.  Remember, you can click on any of the pictures and see them larger.
Thank you each and every one for smiling for the camera.  The photographer takes full responsibility and apologizes for not always taking a great shot.
YOU ALL were wonderful.

(In the bottom picture above, Susie was trying to get Mark's spoon so that he wouldn't be partaking  of his meal during the photo.)

************************

After the meal, there was a short business meeting with minutes, financial report and a brief run through of what all transpired during the year.  2013 President Verna Lee called up the officers, appointed and assigned heads to thank them each for helping her through out the year.  Verna Lee also had a gift for every member present.  As we all know - without each and every Piotique Quilters Guild member - our guild would not be the fun and effective guild it is.  It takes everyone to do their part.  Thank you!!!!

Verna Lee had the privilege of handing over the gavel and President's position to the new 2014 President - Frances B.

Carol B. presented Verna Lee with her box containing the signed 'Presidential Blocks'.  If you did not have your block turned into Carol before the party, please give it directly to Verna Lee as soon as you can.  This is a terrific way for a past president to remember every one from the fantastic year she presided over.

Marilyn drew the winning names from the UFO's completed in 2013 - Congratulations to Lisa and Jane.  Jane was also among those that earlier were recognized for their 100% attendance for the year - AND - she had the honor of being the only one to have something to 'Show 'n Tell'  -  EVERY month.

Our first meeting in 2014 will be Monday, January 20th.  Plenty of time to jot down your UFO list to hand in at that meeting.

Have a Blessed Christmas and a very safe Holiday Season!!!!!!!!
