Thank you to the ladies that brought in their Fat Quarter Bags so that we could see what the extra project at our Football Widows Sew Day is all about.
If you do not have a project that you want to bring to our sew day, then these are real easy bags that you will enjoy making and will get a lot of use out of. Kelsey uses hers at college and before.
Vicki showed us how to make these bags back in 2008 and she is coming back to show the "new generation" how it is done. Thank you so much Vicki.
Please sign up ahead of time so that we have enough direction sheets for all. Buddy up with someone on the sewing day to share supplies like sewing machine, cutting mats, etc. Each bag takes 6 FQ's for the outside, 2 1/8 yards material for lining and handles (42" wide), and 22" of 1" wide non-roll elastic. A friend of Carol S. made her bag and put a pocket inside. Bring extra fabric if you want to try that and Velcro for the pocket closing. See Carol's for ideas.
