2nd Workday at the Museum

Wednesday, March 20th, was another great workday at the Museum.  Thank you Lorraine, Tracy and Mom, Judy and Pat for your great work.

Was a little scary this time, the signature quilt is supposed to be from the 1800's.  AAAGGHGHGHGH!  Was very nerve wracking handling it and reading the names.  We think all was done in red floss, some had rotted out, some the color was faded and others our eyes just could not read.  As you can see from the pictures, some of the red material used is disintegrating.

If you click on the picture, it will be bigger and you can get an idea of what our members went through to read the squares.

Thank you to everyone that was able to help.  We are set up to continue working on this project on April 10th and 24th.  If you would like to be a part of the work crew, please call Vevia and let her know.  It would be nice to have enough involved that no one would have to go everytime.
