Falling Leaves class with Elsie

Pictures do not give quilts true justice.
You have got to see them up close and personal - you never know what you will find.

A few instructions, a close up look and we were off on Tuesday towards the beginnings of our own falling leaves quilt. Stationed around every wall and outlet, everyone was off and running with their first 2 1/2" blocks and the techniques on curving. What a great opportunity to not only have an award winning quilter instructing you and giving you hints, tips and one on one help - but with so many in attendance, we had a great chance to share what we were learning, seek help from others and solve problems. After Lunch we really got down to business and Elsie showed us another possibility by displaying some of OUR blocks in a grouping - heh, we are pretty good.

The next thing we should probably do is set a date to have a big show and tell of the results.

Elsie would love an opportunity to see what we have done also, so don't forget to check out her site at http://www.elsiemcampbell.com/ and get her address/e-mail to send her a picture of the finished product.

Thank you Elsie and thank you everyone for making it such a great day.
