Round Robin - Mini Retreat

We barely got the ladies and sewing machines into the church on Saturday, June 19th, when the storm hit. It was comforting to know that Audrey's demonstration did not include any power machines. It was amazing to see what a little paint and salt could do. For some of us, it was the very first time that we had seen any of Audrey's masterpieces. The one she is showing here - she likes so much, she is not even going to take it off the frame. (Thankfully the storm was past by the time Audrey finished up.)

Jan out did herself with handouts that covered three types of binding. Not only did everyone learn how to master those corners, but now we also have the scoop on adding piping. Jan provided some sample squares and binding for those that wanted to get hands on before they forgot the fine points.

Bonnie was off to a good start on her Mile-A-Minute demonstration with a sample brought in by Jan. Step by step, Bonnie walked everyone through and of course now we are looking forward to seeing some end results.

Vevia's demonstration was on the cornerstone. We had a great crew of 19 that showed up for the retreat.

THANK YOU to everyone that jumped right in at the end of the retreat and helped clean up. That is what is so special about our guild, the MEMBERS!!!!

Our members are special in so many ways, they not only work all morning giving demonstrations, they also run home to set up to serve tea to ten great-grandchildren. What a way to round out your day.

It is easy when you have such darling princesses and kings.
Pray you all had fun Audrey.
