Missy's 3 Sizes of Bags Workshop - a truly inspiring day !!!!!

Saturday the 29th, guild member Missy S. (with the help of Linda S.) presented the Mongo Bag workshop for members at the Christian Church.  Thank you to Erlene for making the space available to us.

Captured a few pictures for you all to enjoy.  Look closely and you will see how those attending really enjoyed having their picture taken.  ha ha ha

Getting set up is always an interesting time.  Love to see what others have in their arsenal of sewing doo dads.

Wasn't long and everyone was busy on the next step after all the prep work they did before hand.  What a time saver that was.  Thank you Missy for the idea and making it possible.

Pictures above and below show you that Missy and Linda did not just stand around, they pitched right in and helped tremendously with all the pressing and clipping as well.

Anna had picked the smaller version as she wants it for her bedroom to hold her makeup.  She has her marching orders - DO NOT USE TILL AFTER THE FAIR!  ha ha ha

Because Anna had the smaller one and no handles, she was the first one finished.  And she can be very proud of the great job she did.  That 1/4" and sewing straight is a big accomplishment for all seamstresses/quilters.  Now Anna is looking for the perfect buttons to hold the flaps down.  This will make a wonderful organizer for her.

Sometimes it was so quiet in the church - it was weird.  When this group is heading for the finish line, no time to talk, just foot to the floor.

Or iron to the mat.

This and the following pictures are not in order of finish - just in order of who would take a moment to poise long enough for a shot.
Great work one and all!
Yeah Ruth Ann and no funny looks this time.

Winnie is such a show off with her smile and leg thrown out - Kaffe Fassett fabric made her a gorgeous bag.

We told Erlene that we wanted grass, eggs and candy in hers when she brings it to guild for Show 'n Tell.  The Spring colors just made you smile and of course got you to thinking of Easter.

Melissa was so happy to get 'er done after breaking several needles on her machine.  Seems like some models just do not have the get up and go for foam work.  Little bit of pressing and top stitching at home on another machine and she will have it ready for Show 'n Tell also.
If you are wondering about her pattern.  You know there is more than one way to do this bag.  See Missy for all those ideas.
Gail's bag is whoof whoofing with the fabrics she used.  Wait till guild and you see it up close.

Viola is grinning because no matter whether you have a scant quarter under or over - it works.
Gorgeous.

Barely got Sara before she snuck out the door with her finished bag.  Silly woman, she always looks good right along with this new bag.

Christine also was rushing to get out of there before I could get her picture.  Do not know why, her and her bag were outstanding also.

This was a full day of workshop.  And hopefully you will see more from those that signed up for the bag but could not make the workshop on Saturday.  Thank you again Missy (and Linda) for a great day and to Erlene for a wonderful soup for lunch.  Who ever brought all those nibbles including the Tasty Pastry surprises - SHAME ON YOU!
Though they were so good.  hahahahahahahhaha  Thanks to everyone for making it a fun day.
