September Mysteries at the Museum

Guild Museum Volunteers have finished 12 quilts for documentation and storage to date.  Take a peek at the two that volunteers just completed.

This past month and a half was fun - fun remembering if you were working on 031 or 032 - at first glance they are the same quilt - right?  Nope!  Besides the names being different and the color of the sashing and cornerstones, duh! - the borders are different.  It's easier when they are both up here where you can see them side by side - another matter when you pull one out of the box and have to remember if it is the second or the first you are working one.  And though today we might find the square in the square block a lot easier - everyone of these were made with templates - uggh!  But what a beauty.  If there is another name for this block, please let someone on the museum committee know so that we can update the museum's records.  Notice the ice cream cone border - so much work and so worth it.  Thank you ladies - we are getting real close to 100 hours of volunteer work - and it is all thanks to each one of you.
