Museum Work Ever Forward

May was a fun month at the museum.  On the 8th we finished the quilt above and started the documentation on a couple more.

Then on the 22nd we finished up those two with the cleaning, pictures and rolling for storage.

The fun part is looking at a quilt and trying to figure out why they did what they did.  The Sunbonnet Sue quilt had many conjectures as to whys and wherefores.
With our 7 volunteers, we have been able to complete 7 quilts in 58.16 hours.  The inputting signatures from a few of the quilts has taken a couple of visits.  Thank you to all of our members who have volunteered and to those that have turned in white cotton sheets to the museum.  We still are looking for more sheets.  Please drop them off to Dianne at the old museum building.  Thank you
