4th Annual Tea Party - May 2013

The Tea Party Committee out shown themselves again this year.  This is the 4th year in a row that we have been blessed with this crews talent and endeavors.  Thank you Carol S. for chairing the group and thank you to each and every member for the wonderful job you did.  No complaints from the party goers - except maybe the fact that they got too full before they could enjoy everything.  hahaha

The work starts days before and then the morning of - everyone works very hard to bring forth what they have seen in their minds eye.
Then comes all of the food......................................................WOW!

This year was especially fun with the Mad Hatter Theme.  Personally - I think we did better than the Kentucky Derby in what we had to offer.  I hope we did not miss anyone - there were 10 tables set up, so enjoy the hats and folks that went to all the work............

As you looked at the tables - or maybe go back through and now look at them......their was a pincushion centerpiece at each table.  Here are shots of the winners of the centerpieces.  Remember you can click on the picture and it will get bigger so that you can see the winners better.

Everyone that came in with a hat was given a number and then participants could vote on the Best, Craziest and Original hat.  At the end of the evening, these votes where tallied and here are the winners.
Karen took Best with her darling little hat from the past.   Myrna N. took the Craziest - she wore a purse with handles tucked up, it went so well with her outfit, what a sight to see.  And Tracy took the Original category.  Thank you to all the participants in the hat theme - it was not easy voting for any of the categories as there were so many wonderful hats to see.

Next year's Tea is already in the planning process - the thinking stage.  If you would like to be involved, please see our 2014 Program Chairs and let them know.  Ideas, helpers, bakers, etc. are always needed for all the things that our guild does.  Please join in and help to make YOUR guild the best.
