Yeah!!!!!!! Velda Becker!!! Remember that name.

We had a wonderful turn out for our Program with Velda Becker.  Velda is full of ideas and great suggestions for everyone.  Have a sketch book?  Great thing to carry with you and put on the bed side table so when you see or think up an idea - you can jot it down.
Velda has kept a scrap book of her progress and can really see how she has grown not only in ability, but also in ideas.  Take classes, experiment, repurpose, read books - STRETCH YOURSELF!
Velda has gone from Traditional quilts to Art quilts and as you can see with just these few pictures, this is one talented lady.  Enjoy..........and let our program chairs know if you would like to see more of  Velda.

This is a self portrait that Velda's mother is not fond of - her daughter does not have green hair.  hahahaha

So this is what Mrs. Velda Becker is up to now. I had thought of my 1st grade teacher, and wondered whether she still worked in education these days.

I had also remembered when the other 1st grade class was taught by another Mrs. Becker - Mrs. Pamela Becker. We were told to refer to either by their first initials too (when talking about them to someone else. Otherwise, we addressed them directly as Mrs. Becker.)
