2011 COMMUNITY SERVICE

Thank you, thank you, thank you Verna Lee for doing such an outstanding job handling the 2011 Community Service project - Children's quilts to Dr. Johnson.

Rumor had it that we did 74 quilts. WOW!!!!!! And thank you bunches and congratulations to all of us.




Verna Lee presented all the quilts to Dr. Johnson and thanks to many of our members who helped pack them up.

Verna Lee's highlight of the night was her guest Doris - the lady at Gran Villas that did 32 of the quilts all on her own by hand. Doris just turned 90 years young and had a blast this year having something useful to do. Word has it that she will continue on in 2012. So if you have scraps, left over blocks, or kits that you would like to give to Doris - please see Verna Lee. This may be a many year project - helping others - help others.
